Grand Rapids Public Museum Wedding

What an amazing wedding at the Grand Rapids Public Museum! The Public Museum is not only one of the most unique wedding reception venues in Grand Rapids it is also one of the most beautiful. It's located right in the heart of the city on Pearl street over looking the Grand River and it has so much to offer inside and out.

One of our favorite things about shooting at this venue are all of the amazing oportunites a bridal party has for pictures on the wedding day! This is just one of my favorite shots from this part of the day. We have so much to show you and will be posting lots of pictures from the wedding, the reception at the Grand Rapids Public Museum as well and our wedding photos with the bridal party throughout Grand Rapids as well. Check back soon for more!

Wedding Photography: Covered Bridge, Ada Michigan

This weekend our wedding party took us to the historic Covered Bridge in Ada Michigan. The covered bridge turned out to be a fantastic location for bridal party photos and we had a lot of fun taking a variety of shots of the bride, groom, and all of their attendants!

The available light in the covered bridge in Ada is beautiful for bridal portraits. While we were shooting people were coming and going but it never phased our subjects!

The best thing about the covered bridge for wedding pictures is that it offers a great alternative for brides who are looking for something a little different for their pictures with the wedding party!

We'll be posting more from the wedding day soon so check back soon or look for the wedding on our website here: www.thephotographyteam.com

Welcome 2008

We welcome 2008 with the first posting on Blogger for the Photography Team. The launch of The Photography Team will be finalized in February with the core team of Dan Terpstra, Ben Pancoast and associate Karl Rouwhorst along with our supporting helpers of digital post production pros, assistants, and office helpers. Pictured here is Jim Pancoast (Brother of partner Ben) as our first assistant, Ben Pancoast, Dan Terpstra, and John Crowley as our on-site documentarian and slideshow producer. This was taken by our September 1, 2007 groom, Charlie Sparks -- thanks for helping us have such a great time Charlie!

We'll begin the year by posting some of our recent album designs and some photos from 2007. I'll have to be honest, it's SO important for us to get our site up which takes going through our hundreds of "top picks" photos to narrow down the best photos for our clients. We approach our craft a bit different from others so we want to make sure our honest approach is reflected in the website (we don't just show you favorites, we want you t
o get a feel for how your wedding day will look beginning to end).
